Before the autumn of 1990, I lived most of my life as “Dead Woman Walking”—numbed out and merely going through the motions of living. I had a childhood I barely remembered, and I was trying to raise two
children while living with a violent alcoholic husband—and I thought I was happy!
Everything started to change when my father died. I suddenly felt compelled to sing again. In fact, songs seemed to pour out of me of their own volition.
The awakening and liberation of my voice set me on a journey
that ultimately led me out of abuse and
into a wondrous way of life I didn’t even know existed!
This journey ignited my curiosity about connection with the Earth and the Divine. I explored Native American spirituality and was lead to the sacred mountains in Peru and the jungles of the Amazon to study shamanism. I learned Light Body Medicine, Reiki and Quantum Touch. I discovered the Goddess, the Divine Feminine and living the Way of the Toltec.
I studied Sound Healing with Jonathan Goldman, Tom Kenyon, Don Campbell, Jeffrey Thompson, Richard Rudis and others. Immersing myself in a variety of Sound Healing modalities eventually led me to the Tibetan Singing Bowls.
In my experiences of singing with the Bowls, I was given a glimpse of how much using my voice contributes to my well-being and the joyful unfolding of my journey.
One of the major insights that has come to me is that using the voice as a tool for healing does not mean that one must be able to “sing.” The only requirement for accessing the healing benefits of the voice is being able to make a sound that vibrates the vocal chords.
If you can sigh, laugh, cry or speak, you have all the vocal skills you’ll need to access your voice’s healing power.
It has been my life’s desire to be of service. When I discovered the profound
benefits of Healing Sound which includes your own voice, I became eager to share what I have learned and experienced.
"Once you experience Patricia Caldwell’s voice and presence your heart
will never be the same. She captivates listeners, weaving her rich clear
voice into songs full of inspiration and humor. When she combines her voice with that of the Tibetan Singing Bowl, a profoundly mystical sound experience is created. And that is just the beginning…"
